Women's Endowment Fund Grants

Funding Focus
This program provides funding for programs that support the empowerment of and improve the lives of women and girls in Western Washington and Israel. Click here to see grants from the last two-year funding cycle.
Funding Restrictions
Programs must serve a minimum of 15 participants each year. Organizations may only request funding for one program per grant cycle. The program must be an ongoing program of the organization that has run for at least one full fiscal year and be guaranteed to continue for the two-year duration of the grant. Capital funding proposals will not be accepted.
Funds Available
The grant operates on a two-year cycle. Grants are capped at a maximum request of $5,000 per fiscal year, for a total of $10,000. Fiscal years begin July 1 and end the following June 30.

Contract Period
Contracts are for two years. Funding for the second year will not be awarded until the organization completes and submits a program evaluation form indicating that the funds have been properly used and that the program plans to run as initially presented to the Special Initiatives Fund Committee.

  1. Any Jewish organization in Western Washington that is a 501(c)(3) public charity or is presumed to be according to IRS regulations.
  2. Any Israeli non-profit organization that has an “American/Friends Of” partner or other fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) public charity.
  3. Nonprofit arts and culture organizations in King or South Snohomish counties with a “Jewish-themed” project may also apply.
Organizations are required to have been in operation for a minimum of two full fiscal years by January 2017 to be eligible.

Organization’s Authority to Submit
Application must be signed by an authorized professional or board representative.
